GPSD will have Parent Teacher Conferences on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. throughout the district. Parents are encouraged to participate by stopping by their child’s school to speak with their child’s teachers about his/her progress. As a reminder, there will be NO SCHOOL for students on Monday, October 18th. Students are asked to review and study current lessons for the 2nd Nine Weeks. 🗣🚨Reminder🚨🗣 The Greenville High School Solid Gold Marching Band will host “The Battle of Big G” band showcase. The event will take place at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Tickets are $7 for students with an I.D. and $10 for adults. Various Delta area bands will be on display including Leland High, T.L. Weston, Coleman Middle School and Coahoma Community College. The Greenville Public School District Board of Trustees unanimously voted for Greenville High School athletes to practice while on quarantine through September 7, 2021. The board’s decision also announced a requirement for all students participating in extra-curricular activities, student-athletes, coaches, and athletic support staff to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or submit to COVID-19 testing every 72 hours. GHS Coaches and student-athletes will be required to test every Monday and Thursday while on quarantine, then weekly tests will be conducted as a safety precaution measure for all secondary schools.

The Greenville Public School District announces the student body at Lizzie Coleman Middle School will quarantine following multiple confirmed COVID-19 student cases. As a result, Superintendent Dr. Debra Dace said CMS students will quarantine until September 10, 2021, and return to school on Monday, September 13, 2021. Dace said, “As a safety precautionary measure we will quarantine all Coleman Middle School students. While our students are on quarantine (virtual learning) there will not be any extra-curricular activities or sporting events being held in this time frame.”
