GHS student Robdreka Simmons, a junior, has been chosen through a selection process to serve on the State Superintendent's Advisory Committee. The committee meets and will be able to share strategies on ways to improve education in Mississippi.
The competitive process included submitting in writing several documents along with information on why the student wanted to serve on the advisory committee. More than 150 applicants from across the state expressed interest but only about half were chosen.
Additionally, Simmons said she is excited and will look to share her input to help improve education and student achievement in Mississippi.
