Ms. India Chambers
India Chambers is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and a graduate of The Summit County Day School. She received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana.
She was afforded the opportunity to embark on a teaching career through the nationally renowned program, Teach for America. She was placed in the Mississippi Delta region to teach Mathematics. Currently, she is an Educator in Greenville Public School District at Coleman Middle School. Throughout her professional tenure, she has received accolades for Highest Overall Quality Distribution Index (QDI) for Greenville Public School District in the areas of Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1.
Her most recent accomplishment was being awarded “Teacher of the Year” for Coleman Middle School. Furthermore, she has serves on the Response to Intervention Team (RTI) where she implements specific state mandated interventions for struggling students to help them excel in the classroom and periodically evaluates the effectiveness of the interventions. Lastly, she was a member of the Leadership Team that worked with a team of teachers to make important school-wide decisions and communicated to the faculty. Her passion is the quest towards continued achievement for students inside and outside the classroom as a Teacher, Coach, and Mentor where each child can exemplify uncommon success.
In her words, she states that "This year, my goals are to make college tangible to my students, to ensure academic proficiency for each of them and to aid in the fostering of well-rounded students".
