Dear Parent/Community Member,
We trust you are enjoying your summer break and hope you are finding time to rest, relax, and re-energize before the start of another successful school year. It is an exciting time here at Greenville Public School District, and we are thrilled with the new faces that have joined our team to move our schools and district forward. For the upcoming 2017-18 school year, our focus will be the 3 “S’s” – Safety. Supervision, and Scores. We believe by focusing on those key areas it will equal to student success.
Our goal is student success, and in order to accomplish that goal we believe it is essential for students to have ongoing and continuous support from the community. We are asking for your support by sharing with your organization/business that GPSD is encouraging for parents to have their child registered by Thursday, August 3, 2017. Parents must also bring all forms, immunization records, and updated documentation when registering their child in our school system. It is imperative for students to be registered prior to the start of school on Monday, August 7, 2017 to ensure they are properly enrolled in class, have their bus routes, and a smooth transition to the start of the new school year.
As a district, our entire staff is devoted to ensuring that each student is challenged and prepared for college or the workforce as they move to the next stage of their life. Moving forward as we get ready for the upcoming school year, we want to ask you to help us in our efforts to grow and develop every child in our community. We are enthusiastic about the direction we’re headed. We want you to know that we appreciate you, and we thank you for allowing us the opportunity to serve you and your child.
Feel free to contact us at (662) 334-7000, if you have any questions or concerns. Additionally, if you know of a neighbor that has yet to register their child, please share this information and encourage them to register their child by August 3. I want to personally thank you for the support. GPSD Proud!!
