GPSD's Convocation Message: A successful year that yields successful students-

GREENVILLE -- The Greenville Public School District staff Convocation Program was  held Tuessday, August 2, 2017 at the Washington County Convention Center. Guest speakers included Greenville Mayor Errick D. Simmons, Washington County Board of Supervisors President Carl McGee, GPSD Board of Trustees, and the Rev. Albert Calvin Jr., who did a video presentation on the former Coleman High School. 


Hundreds of GPSD faculty gathered together to celebrate the beginning of a new school year and to focus on this year's theme of the 3 S's= Safety+Supervision+Scores=Student Success. GPSD Superintendent Dr. Janice Page-Johnson introduced herself to the staff since being appointed the district's new leader on July1. Page-Johnson said she asks for support from the community along with the our 4 P's: Prayers, Patience, Participation, and Positivity. 


Deputy Superintendent Dr. Glenn Dedeaux spoke on being unified, the importance of knowing everyone plays an important role in the education of our children, and working towards one common goal, and that's producing successful and productive students. 


School resumes on Monday, August 7, 2017 for students and staff to return from summer break.
